Jazz History Online is looking for a few good donors!
As Jazz History Online begins its third year of operations, we now have
over 300 pages of articles, reviews and editorials. We’ve been recognized in the
national jazz press, and we are on the promotional lists of most of the major
record companies. Our interactive articles offer insights that few other sites
offer, and every article written for the site is available for reading in our
archive. We get over 1000 hits per week and we now have over 800 Facebook fans.
I would like to ask for your help in financing some of our basic operating
costs. Even with a simple home-based operation like JHO, there are still bills
to paid and office supplies to replenish. And in order to cover events like the
Vail Jazz Party, there are transportation and housing expenses.
Our last official fundraising campaign was held in 2012 and run through
Indiegogo. To keep this campaign a little more low-key (and to prevent you from
getting a LOT of extra e-mail), I plan to run it myself through the site. Our
overall goal is $1000 per month for the next three months. You can donate any
amount you wish, and you may send it to us through the “Donate” button on the
Front Page of the website, or by sending a check to the address below.
Although the campaign is low-key, the need is URGENT. This is a vital step
in keeping this website available and sustainable. Your help is greatly
